The answer is quite simple. Most up and over, sectional or roller garage doors are powder coated. Although this is quite a tough, baked on paint finish it still requires a bit of love to keep it in pristine condition. We normally use a car type shampoo for washing the garage doors, its mild compared to a dishwashing liquid.

If you have had your garage door vandalised then you may have to paint it. This can quite easily be done by lightly keying up the surface with a light sand paper and then over painting. Hammerite even sell a specific garage door paint.
